Bayou Soul was established in 2017 after a life-changing accident. Owned by Chief Michael Gillie Jr. of Natchez, La he started out by selling daily plate lunches which lead to catering events such as but not limited to church functions, festivals, community givebacks, weddings, and more. Through hard work and dedication, he has been able to expand while networking with celebrities and various organizations. His vision is to provide upscale service and experience to new markets that will target and fit the needs of the people. He desires to network and improve his craft every opportunity he is presented with and uses a “ONE OPPORTUNITY APPROACH" meaning he always feels he has one opportunity to get it right even if the event or client is residual.

Best food we had in Natchitoches!! Two of us had shrimp poboys--huge portions of shrimp, perfectly seasoned and fried. One had the daily special--shrimp and crawfish fettuccine--and loved it. We were too full so took our dessert to go--peach cobbler and pecan praline cakes--both delicious when we could finally eat them 😁.

Arrived in town for a meeting and decided to check this place out. Y’all them Queso fries and Koolaid (Tropical Punch), OMG. Then a slice of that Parline Pound Cake! Lord have mercy, it was DELICIOUS. The service and atmosphere was exceptional. Will be stopping in again, whenever I am near or passing this area!! Guys, I also purchased additional cake (strawberry pound cake) for my family and punch (lemonade and grape), and they want more. Trust and believe... drop in, you will not be disappointed.

Dont let the outside fool you. This place is a hidden gem! The food was made to order and served piping hot! The burger was well seasoned, the cheese melty, and served with a smile. Who cares about the calories, don't sleep on that pecan praline pound cake. It is sinfully delicious 😋 Saved mine to bring home, but bought a second slice for my hubby, because no way am I sharing.
